Beech (Gold/White)

£120.00

The Beech has been called ‘The Queen and Mother of the Woods’. It is a symbol of protection and nurturing, giving shade with its canopy and food from its nuts. Beech has been used in many healing rituals since ancient times and it was said that no harm could befall a lost traveller who sought shelter under her branches. Slivers of Beech wood and leaves were once carried as talismans to bring good luck and increase creative energy. This signed, original print is an intricately carved homage to the majestic Beech tree.

This is a single block print of my large ‘Beech’ linocut. It is an original, limited edition print, hand printed in a lustrous gold ink onto white Fabriano 250gsm fine art paper. Part of an edition of 100.

The print is supplied unframed and will be posted in a mailing tube.
Measurements refer to paper size. Height 65cm, Width 50cm.
Due to the hand printed nature of this work each print is unique and there will be slight variations between prints.
